Join us for the first WaterFire full lighting of the season! All Full WaterFire installations light up over eighty braziers from Waterplace Park to Memorial/South Main Street Park on the below scheduled evenings. Lighting occurs shortly after sunset and the event continues until half past midnight.
Take a trip to Roger Williams Zoo to visit with more than 450 bird species native to Australia, including grass parakeets, cockatiels and various other parrot species. Each visitor will receive a seed stick and is free to feed the exotic birds while engaging in conversation about their habitats and the environmental challenges they face. Admission is an additional $3 to zoo admission.
People of all ages will delight in “Food Truck Friday” held at Carousel Park in Roger Williams Park! From 5 to 8 PM, local food trucks will be open for dinner while customers enjoy live music and other activities. Pony rides will be offered, in addition to Hasbro’s Boundless Playground and the park carousel being open for use. There will also be a beer garden for the adults to enjoy while they take in the beautiful scenery. There is no cost for entry, but pony/carousel rides and food/beverage will be an additional cost.

People of all ages are welcome to Roger Williams Zoo for animal feedings! Giraffe feedings take place daily, while seal feedings are offered on the weekends in the spring. Standard zoo admission to attend feedings, but please RSVP.
The Providence Public Library is offering a new exhibition called “Portals: The History of the Future“, which will “highlight the material trails left by the people of the past as they looked to the future.” Visitors will be able to take a look at what the future looked like to our predecessors, and how it varies greatly from the reality we live in today. Admission is free for all ages.
John Carter Brown library presents the “Air America Exhibition,” where visitors will be able to get a history of air– something we all need. The exhibition showcases “texts, maps, and illustrations [that] reveal the multiple and resonant meanings of air to the history of the Americas,” and its extreme importance to everyone and everything living on the Earth. Admission is free for all ages.
The “All of Everything” exhibition features original designs by the talented Todd Oldham. His creative designs, well known embellishment work, superb craftsmanship, and unique flair dominated fashion in the 1990s. From a Swarovski crystal-encrusted ensemble to a Pantone non-repeating print design, this exhibition offers 65 complete ensembles in a wide variety of styles, all labors of Oldham’s “intensive design process” and attention to detail. Founded in 1994 in Huntington Beach, California, (Hed)p.e. has a unique sound of punk rock combined with G-funk-inflected hip-hop. Originally from New York City, Luna is an indie rock band. They have been active since 1991, with their lineup changing throughout the 1990s, morphing into the band they are today. Celebrating the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theater presents The Winter’s Tale, one of the final works of the late, great playwright. The story bears the trials of a royal family ripped apart by imprisonment, infidelity, life, death, love, as well as the healing of time. Directed by Fred Sullivan, Jr., The Winter’s Tale is an emotional, poetic, and epic journey.
