PRINCESS & THE PEA TEA TIME: FOR KIDS
The State Ballet of Rhode Island welcomes spring as they present Phantomgreen Ballet Suite – based on the Hans Christian Anderson story The Princess & the Pea. Ballet dancers will visit tea time, followed by on stage photo. Light fare, tea, coffee and special sweets.

Roger Williams Park Zoo
These 90-minute programs focus on a special animal or area of the Zoo and present opportunities for adult/child pairs to make discoveries together. Programs include a lesson, activity, a craft, an up-close encounter with one of our education animals, and a walk to an exhibit. Please note this program does not include direct interaction with exhibit animals.

St. George’s School Hunter Gallery
Saberah Malik, of Warwick, has combined the traditional and the innovative in both her art and her life. The daughter of an Indian civil engineer, Malik was a first generation Pakistani who grew up traveling throughout Pakistan, absorbing the region’s art and culture. She has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions, both nationally and internationally, and has won numerous awards.
Exhibition At Sprout Coworking
Partnering with the DEM – Fish and Wildlife, Save the Bay and the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council who will be providing educational activities in the gallery all month long. We are pleased to highlight these 3 local artists who all depict fish and eels. The Sprout CoWorking Community Gallery is committed to showing high school and college student work.
Resist Exhibition at Van Vessem Gallery
An exhibition of responses to the political climate of the United States. Let’s not say the “current” political climate or the “post-election” climate because what is happening now is merely a continuation of what has come before it. Americans (especially
those with comfortable lives) tend to suffer from nasty cases of historical amnesia. Is the rise of Donald Trump frightening because it’s truly unexpected, or because we couldn’t see through the glossy surfaces of our socioeconomic bubbles?

Locally Grown – Hosted by Fusionworks Dance Company
Locally Grown is Fusionworks’ exciting outreach concert series that celebrates and nurtures the wealth of creativity in Rhode Island. Fusionworks professional dancers, with their reputation for gutsy and inspiring dancing, share the stage with the next generation of Rhode Island’s finest young artists. Joining them will be dancers from the pre-professional company, Fusionworks II, and students from Edgewood Highland Elementary School, Henry Barnard Elementary School, Sophia Academy and JMW School for the Performing Arts.

Join us at the breathtaking, historic Providence Athenaeum for an adults-only evening among the spellbinding volumes of the great human pursuit to understand our world and ourselves. Expect delicious food, unique entertainment, a silent auction, raffle prizes, and more. All proceeds will benefit the Ocean State Montessori School and its mission of fostering independence, self-esteem, and a life-long love of learning among the children of our community.

Newport Restaurant Week
An annual event to encourage both residents and visitors to Newport and Bristol counties to experience the vast culinary talent in our destination at an affordable price. Today, Newport Restaurant Week takes place both in the spring and in the fall with more than 50 participating restaurants offering extraordinary three-course prix fixe lunches for $16 and three-course prix fixe dinners for $35.
