On the third Thursday of the month, from March through November, over 20 of the city’s hot “art spots” open their doors inviting you to a visual arts party. Free bus tours take you throughout the city to a selection of participating galleries, guided by local artists and art enthusiasts who share their insights into the art world.

Theatre/Performance

Spring into Dance is a concert of contemporary dance and rhythm tap dance created by Bill Evans, who has been honored with a Guggenheim Fellowship, numerous awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and is the 2016 Choreography Fellow of the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts.

Cabinet of Curiosities

Cabinet of Curiosities is a fundraising event in support of the Lovecraft Providence Statue Project, and all proceeds from the event will go towards the completion and installation of a life-size statue of H.P. Lovecraft right here in Providence, RI. The evening promises a whole lot of weird delights, including a live film scoring of Call of Cthulhu and live music by local gothic folk band Vudu Sister! Everyone gets an exclusive look at the statue-in-progress, and can even chat with the sculptor himself! Become a monster by way of facepaint as you try to win some amazing local goodies at our silent auction! There will be no dull moments — that you can be sure of.

St. Patrick’s Day is March 17th, but Rhode Island has events occurring throughout March to celebrate Rhode Island’s Irish heritage.

Brown Brain Fair

Come discover the human brain! Ever wonder how we learn and remember? How do optical illusions work? Come hold a real human brain or look at neurons through a microscope. Check out “mini brains” in a dish or try your hand at recording brain waves with EEG.

Easy Bay Restaurant Week

Experience the beautiful waterfront and historic neighborhoods of East Bay, RI, and southeastern Massachusetts, while enjoying the diverse cuisine of the area’s best restaurants.

We encourage everyone from all across Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts to experience the unique dining opportunities in the  East Bay area. East Bay Restaurant Week offers a chance to try new places or renew acquaintances with some old favorites. Either way bon appetit.
