Figure & Form

An artistic exploration of the human body and its emotions will debut at ArtProv Gallery, a contemporary gallery located in the Jewelry District at 150 Chestnut Street, when its newest show “Figure & Form” opens on July 19. An opening reception will be held on Gallery Night on July 20 from 5-9 p.m. The show will also be open during Gallery Night on August 17 for its closing reception. The show runs through August 19.

“Figure & Form” is group show of paintings, pastels, ink drawings, and ceramic and plaster sculptures that capture the external likeness of individuals as well as their internal experiences, states of mind, and transformations.

Bowling for Rhinos

There are only five species of rhinoceros left in the world – join our zoo keepers for a fun night of bowling, and you can help save them! The Roger Williams Park Zoo chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) is hosting their 5th annual Bowling for Rhinos event, to raise funds for rhino and habitat conservation. Not only can you expect a fun evening bowling with friends and family, but also a night that has a deeper impact on the environment.

Summer Concert Series: Unlikely Candidates

This summer the City has teamed up with 95.5 WBRU to bring some of the nation’s best rising talent to the Waterplace stage. The series will feature emerging alternative rock bands paired with regional rising stars. Six dynamic acts will entertain residents and visitors in one of the city’s most breathtaking parks.
