About the Providence Flea: The Providence Flea is a juried flea market held outdoors every Sunday in the summer on the Providence River Greenway, across from 345 South Water Street in Providence. The season runs from June 1 – September 14 with lots of cool vendors, food trucks, live music and more! Inspired by the insanely popular, fun and funky flea markets in Brooklyn, New York, The Flea had the idea to recreate this urban hotspot of cool right here in our own capital city. So we went looking for a central location downtown, preferably on the river, with a great view of the city skyline–it’s small but it’s ours–and plenty of space to roam. The Flea team found it–on the Providence River Greenway–and now they’ve created that space for treasure hunters and vintage lovers, upcyclers and retro seekers, and anyone else who appreciates that which is or can be recycled, reused or re-purposed. The juried, urban flea market launched on June 2, 2013 and is held every Sunday through the fall, rain or shine, from 10 am – 4 pm with unusual finds, art, fashion, local crafts, curiosities, furniture, food trucks and more.
