This family event offers a nostalgic immersion into the sights, sounds and feeling of history’s greatest World’s Fair with a sampling of some of the cultures, entertainment, and information that was a part of the turn-of-the-century spectacle. The grounds of the museum will feature continuous entertainment and activities including period fashions, cultural performances, brass music, antique cars, exotic animals, old-fashioned carnival type games, demonstrations, kids activities, art displays, magic show, belly dancing, Chinese Dragon dance, and some of the foods made popular at the Fair such as ice cream cones, hot dogs, and Dr. Pepper. Also, there will be lectures and presentations about different aspects of the Fair.
The museum inside the historic house will showcase the many wonders and innovations of the Fair through exhibits, artifacts from the Fair, with a focus on RI’s impressive participation on the world stage.
