The event will feature Joe Scott as master of ceremonies and presenter of “The Immortal Memory”; the procession of the haggis with Pipe Major Debbie Kane of the Rhode Island Highlanders; and Scotch whiskey tasting courtesy of Providence’s Campus Fine Wines. Guests are invited to read or sing their choice of Burns’ work. The dinner will include haggis (along with a vegetarian version); Scotch broth; salmon; neeps ‘n’ tatties (turnips and potatoes); salad; and shortbread by Sheila Steiner from her Scottish mother’s recipe.
