The Rhode Island College Dance Company is hosting The Elm City Dance Collective, based out of New Haven, CT. They will be performing “Almost Porcelain” which was choreographed by Dance Collective co-founder and RIC alumna, Kellie Ann Lynch, ’03.
“Almost Porcelain” was inspired by Lynch’s personal struggle with self-perception. Lynch describes this work as “a collage of physical explorations stimulated by such concepts as distortion, avoidance, intimacy, and the human desire to be seen.”
“It is a collective attempt to process how we see ourselves and how we see each other,” she commented.
Performances will be on March 27th and 28th at 7:30pm at the Forman Theatre. Admission is $15.
For tickets, please visit www.ric.edu/pfa or call the RIC Box Office at (401) 456-8144.
