AMARAL CUSTOM FABRICATION
“Insider’s Look at Masterful Fabrication”

Picture

Drawing upon the long boat building tradition of Narragansett Bay, Amaral Custom Fabrications, Inc. fuses time-tested, old-world craftsmanship with modern fabrication techniques. Our artisans and craftsmen specialize in translating the artist’s vision from drawings, models, maquettes or a simple sketch. Building sculpture to last generations, and engineering structures to withstand whatever forces will be encountered excites us! Our aluminum painting process – virtually indestructible – has its origins in the Aerospace Industry. Visit us at the shop and find us working on multiple Keith Haring sculptures, a work by Jose Parla who was recently featured on CBS Sunday Morning, as well as see multiple completed Roy Lichtenstein works.

Working together these artists explore multiple directions. The paintings of Evelyn Roberts capture the essence of objects found in nature. Abbott Low,  who lived in Bristol and Providence and received his BFA from the Maine College of Art, was a lifelong artist. His knowledge of the natural world is reflected in the exhibition paintings of birds and fantastic creatures in their natural surroundings. He explored the idea of “flying mice” and other colorful species in the oil paintings which are part of an exhibit on view in the Abbot Low Gallery at the Bristol Art Museum through July 12th. Museum Hours: Thurs-Sun 1-4pm. Will Heacock’s large impressive urns remind us of the antiquity of the past and Candace Cotterman Thibeault’s small works in ceramics are on view in the Livingston Gallery.
