Bring a blanket or grab one of our tables and chairs!  The 2013 Season, curated by Jess Powers of WaterFire Providence, features a wide range of genres. New England abounds with talented musicians, and Providence in particular has a wealth of creativity right in our backyard.

Criss Cross Futu-Futu; Afro-pop
A happy marriage of West African pop and other world music for Futu Futu dance craziness from a 10 piece band of horns, guitars, drums and keyboards lead by Ghanaian drummer, singer, and songwriter Obuamah Laud Addy. The group also frequently features Trinidadian steel drums and Irish whistles and accordions for Criss Cross cultural flavorings.

In partnership with Greater Kennedy Plaza, Downtown Parks Department, and WaterFire, the Burnside Park Beer Garden Music Series takes place by the fountain in the park and will run every Thursday through September 5. The Beer garden is open from 4:30 – 7:30pm with music from 5:30 -7pm. In addition to great local music, there are lawn games, local beer served by Trinity Brewhouse, and delicious offerings from local food trucks. This is a free, family-friendly event for all ages! Discount Parking at the Biltmore Garage, 51 Washington Street, is available from 5pm to 8pm, tickets will be validated at Burnside Park.
