A fundraiser for the Lovecraft Statue Project
Author H. P. Lovecraft proudly called himself a son of Providence, inspiring thousands of fans from across the globe each year to visit the city that shaped his stories. The Lovecraft Arts & Sciences Council is collaborating with sculptor Gage Prentiss to give the city a life-size bronze statue that will celebrate the enduring and growing influence that Lovecraft has on literature, art, and film around the world. The “Cabinet of Curiosities” Gala will be held at the Providence Athenæum to support the Lovecraft Statue Project.
The Lovecraft Arts & Sciences Council is a nonprofit organization based in Providence, Rhode Island that serves as a networking center for scholars, authors, artists, and enthusiasts of the Weird fiction genre, inspired in part by Providence author H. P. Lovecraft.
Cabinet of Curiosities is a fundraising event in support of the Lovecraft Providence Statue Project, and all proceeds from the event will go towards the completion and installation of a life-size statue of H.P. Lovecraft right here in Providence, RI.
