Downtown Providence Living Tour Showcases 9 Properties in the Heart of the City

Offering an up close and exclusive look at the City’s newest developments, including the Arcade Providence and Providence G

Get the inside view on downtown living! To showcase the variety of apartments and condominiums in the heart of the city, The Providence Foundation and Downtown Providence Improvement District are planning a Downtown Providence Living Tour on Saturday, September 21st between 11 AM and 5 PM. See why the real estate website Walkscore considers the downtown neighborhood a ‘walker’s paradise,’ with restaurants, cultural offerings, and car shares located within a few blocks! Buy advance tickets for $6 at downtownprovidence.com (until 6 PM on Friday, September 20th), or purchase tickets for $10 on-site at the registration center, AS220, 115 Empire Street. Tickets aren’t required for children under the age of 12, and proceeds will benefit the Downtown Providence Parks Conservancy’s year-round programming.

Tour-goers must check in at AS220 to pick up wristbands, event programs, and other information. From there, they will have an opportunity to visit 9 other properties at their own pace: The 903, Arcade Providence, Avalon at Center Place, The Promenade, Providence G, Regency Plaza, The Residences, Waterplace, and Westminster Lofts. In order to tour the upper floor micro-lofts at the newly renovated Arcade Providence, guests should select a specific time slot when they buy tickets online. Spaces are limited. Shuttle service will be offered, with stops at each participating property.

Two parking lots are offering guests special event rates. At the Civic Center Parking Garage, 165 Washington Street, tour-goers will pay $3 to park until 5:30 PM. (Parking stubs must be validated at check-in at AS220). The Downcity Parking lot at 357 Westminster Street will offer $5 parking between 10 AM and 6 PM. Guests will pay $10 when they arrive, and by showing a validated ticket from AS220, they’ll receive $5 back when they return to pick up their cars.

The Downtown Providence Living Tour is sponsored by The Providence Foundation, the Providence Downtown Improvement District, and participating properties, with additional support from the Civic Center Parking Garage, The Rhode Guide, and Downcity Parking.
