From 6pm to midnight, WaterFire closes Steeple Street for an exciting night of great music, dancing, and fun! With an emphasis on local musicians, we are pleased to present a variety of talent that Rhode Island has to offer. Kicking off the night will be Los Amigos, a Latin Jazz trio followed by blues guitarist Kim Trusty, a recent grant recipient of Rhode Island State Council of the Arts. From 9-11:45 we will feature Grupo Sazon, a Latin band led by master percussionist Jesus Andujar, who has performed at past WaterFire events to rave reviews.
We are excited to welcome back Carlos Gonzales’ dance company, Mambo Pa Ti, who will be performing dance demonstrations at 9:45 & 10:45.
In addition to music, we are pleased to honor the scholarship recipients for Latino Dollars For Scholars, the new fellows at Venture For America who will be remaining in Providence for their two-year commitment as well as Teach For America’s most recent delegates.
Enjoy water, beer, wine, and Sangria at the Beer Garden provided by Trinity Brewhouse
