The NBC10 Newport International Polo Series, Presented by BMW will feature a heated rivalry between the Red States against the Blue States, vying for the Independence Cup. A classic 6 chukker match is on tap for the Independence Cup. “We’ll be starting our holiday celebration with a good old fashioned American duel,” explained Dan Keating, Newport captain and founder of the Polo Series.
During the match, a weekly door prize drawing and the Best Tailgate will be awarded. After 6 periods, called chukkers, the match will conclude with the Veuve Clicquot Champagne Toast & Trophy Presentation. Then there will be an autograph signing and cocktail hour to meet the players.
