Event Details

ArtProv gallery’s newest show, Landscapes Above and Beyond, starts April 15, with an opening reception during Gallery Night Providence on April 16 from 5-9 p.m. The exhibit will run through May 22 and features the works of five artists:
• Jenifer Mumford, whose landscapes and seascapes reveal the constant movement brought on by the changes of light and wind and Earth’s life and death cycles.
• Carolyn U. Baker, whose collection of maps, charts, and books on cartography inspire paintings that echo the terrain.
• Pia Peterson, who experiments with method, materials and subject, yet continually returns to the imaginary landscape.
• Mimo Gordon Riley, whose unusual sense of color ties together diverse subject matters.
• Nina Weiss, who translates the intensity and power of nature’s rhythm, forms, colors, and light into her paintings.

ArtProv is open Wed – Fri 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., every Gallery Night Providence, and for evening and weekend appointments.
