Please join us on Wednesday, September 2 for an expectional summer lecture about elusive society architect, Addison Mizner, by author René Silvin, author of Villa Mizner: The House That Changed Palm Beach. Addison Mizner was the architect who created not only the “Palm Beach Look” but the “Mediterranean Revival” style, both enjoyed throughout South Florida. Silvin will explore the life of the charismatic architect, the grand palaces Mizner designed for America’s most extravagant elite, his failed attempt to create the model city of Boca Raton, and the reasons why the brilliant, industrialist died intestate, bankrupt and without commissions. A wine and cheese reception will be held at 5:30 pm.  Please call 401-847-0295, ext. 112 to reserve a seat.
