About Rhode Island Pride: RI Pride is one of the most prominent LGBTQ organizations in the New England region. 43 years ago, roughly 75 individuals marched in the very first pride parade. This pivotal moment changed the history of pride and remained consistent for the years to come. Each year, the LGBTQ community comes together to not only educate their neighbors but celebrate their journey. A once small group of 75 participants has transformed into over 60,000 who now celebrate PrideFest.
Throughout the month of June, RI pride spans from Newport to Providence holding events in celebration of the LGBTQ community. For a full schedule of RI Pride 2019 events check out the Pride RI Events Calendar.
Festival & Parade Details: PrideFest will be held on June 15th, 2019 between 12:00 Pm and 7:00 Pm. The festival will be followed by The Illuminated Night Parade at 8:30 Pm. Head over to Weybosset Street near the Providence Performing Arts Center for prime viewing.
