Explore a playfully reimagined Coming to Rhode Island exhibit! Embark on a time-traveling adventure through the exhibit’s transformed “time tunnel” to learn about Rhode Island’s immigration history. Explore an imaginative interactive environment that highlights the story of an Irish immigrant who worked on the construction of Fort Adams. And discover a new “Story Center” with an array of intriguing hands-on activities that explore culture and diversity.
Be An Engineer

In celebration of National Engineers Week, kids investigate the world of engineering at fun-filled activity stations with members of the Society of Women Engineers. Experiment with electrical conductivity, investigate the power of pulley systems, and more! Recommended for ages 5 and up.

The Hoopoe Show

Mad Science: Fire and Ice

Experience mesmerizing science experiments in a mind-bending interactive show that introduces children to the scientific method, air pressure and the states of matter. Imagination Playground
Thursday & Friday, February 23 & 24 • 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Kids invent their own ways to play as they stack and build with huge blue foam blocks, wheels, spools, tubes and a variety of loose parts. Construct castles and forts, create interesting sculptures and more! Underwritten by Dominion Foundation.
Discovery Studio
Drop into the Museum’s vibrant art and science exploration space to discover a changing schedule of imaginative activities. Create with natural and recycled materials, investigate the power of air and the movement of water, tackle creative construction challenges, and much more. Try a different theme each week!
