Glass Hot Nights

Look on with amazement as these modern day magicians take simple glass and shape and mold it in to a new form. Glass hot nights will pursue the theme of History of Glass Technology: demonstrations of time and place for Fall 2014. This weekly programming, performed on Wednesday October 22nd from 7-10 pm at Metcalf Building’s 4th floor Hot Shop , will demonstrate techniques, processes, forms, and styles unique to a geographical location and period, and significant in the evolution of glass making. Collaborative experiments with digital fabrication classes and workshops will sometimes coalesce with traditional demonstrations to explore how traditional systems of making intersect with new technologies. Metcalf Building is located on 7 north main st and glass hot night is open to all of the RISD community.
