Monday, April 7th
Visiting Artist: Cooper Holoweski, 7pm
The Rhode Island School of Design is hosting artist Cooper Holoweski as he screens his video piece, Katabasis. The screening will be accompanied by a live score, played by three musicians. Katabasis is a 40-minute with sound that moves the viewer through an elaborately constructed virtual junkyard, built in the 3D modeling program, Sketchup. It explores themes of death, limbo, and rebirth.
A Poet, His Translator, and His Paintings: Readings from Kopenhaga, 7pm
Join the RISD Museum for a bilingual reading from the first comprehensive collection of prose poetry by Grzegorz Wróblewski, a painter and one of Poland’s leading contemporary writers. English versions will be read by Piotr Gwiazda.

Pawtucket Wintertime Farmer’s Market, 4pm
Vanity Supper Club, Cocktails for a Cause, 6pm
Come out from 6-10pm and support Friends of Homeless Animals at Vanity Supper Club. Your $15 donation gets you passed appetizers, door prizes, and music by Jeff Djjoint Kraus. Dress is casual. This event is hosted by David Leduc and Daniele Gautreau.

New Urban Arts Fundraiser 2014, 7pm
Join New Urban Arts to celebrate 17 years of changing lives through art! You can win artwork and arts experiences by local artists in the silent auction. Take some time to meet the 2014 Sandra Olson Award Winners, and celebrate with old and new friends alike, all while enjoying local foods and beverages.
