Event Details

Come discover the human brain! Ever wonder how we learn and remember? How do optical illusions work? Come hold a real human brain or look at neurons through a microscope. Check out “mini brains” in a dish or try your hand at recording brain waves with EEG. Experience virtual reality or learn about neurological conditions like autism, Parkinson’s Disease, and mental illness! Younger kids can enjoy crafts, games, tasty treats, and face painting.

This event is organized by the BROWN BRAIN BEE, an undergraduate student group that brings neuroscience to local high schools. In addition to the Brain Fair, we host a yearly Brain Bee competition where high schoolers test their knowledge on the brain. The winner gets a cash prize and a chance to compete at the National Brain Bee in Maryland.
