Burnside Park Summer Concert Series featuring The Silks

Bring a blanket or grab one of our tables and chairs!  The 2013 Season, curated by Jess Powers of WaterFire Providence, features a wide range of genres. New England abounds with talented musicians, and Providence in particular has a wealth of creativity right in our backyard.

The Silks; Country/Blues/Rock
The Silks are a power trio that has burst onto the New England music scene with ferocity and enthusiasm. Front-man and songwriter Tyler- James Kelly has assembled musicians with resumes consisting of The Midnight Creeps (Jonas Parmelee), and Electric Service (Matt Donnelly) blending it into a sound that is all their own. With compliments that vary from drawing comparisons to The Rolling Stones in style and songwriting to a sound man shouting “that’s the most fun I’ve ever had!” after a show, The Silks have garnered a reputation as a band that everyone found themselves wanting to see overnight.
