Festival Ballet Providence presents the premiere of a multi-media adaptation of one of the best loved stories and most popular children’s books ever published.

The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s charming interplanetary adventure is the newest installment in its wildly popular chatterBOXtheatre series for young audiences.

This exciting production has been adapted and choreographed by Boyko Dossev, also a company dancer; it incorporates music from composer Maxime Goulet, narration by local storyteller Valerie Tutson, original stop-motion animation by FBP dancers Ty Parmenter andJacob Hoover, scenery from WaterFire Providence, Viktor Plotnikov, and others. The chatterBOXtheatre series is sponsored by Seven Stars Bakery.

One noteworthy element to the ballet is its collaborative elements. The ballet incorporates an original stop-motion video animation, original watercolor illustrations, scenic elements by WaterFire Providence and other artistic collaborators, and narration by local storyteller Valerie Tutson.

The production is Based on the book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, © 1943 and renewed 1971 by Harcourt Brace and Co., and it has been authorized by Rick Cummins and John Scoullar (Owners of U.S. Stage Rights)
