Summer is almost here which means the 2nd Annual Ocean State BBQ Festival is coming right up! Let’s celebrate all that’s locally smoked & grilled with RI based BBQ joints, enthusiasts, and backyarders. Emphasis on Local smokers, Local brews, and Local music!

A ticket to the OSBBQ Festival gets you in with samples from all the food vendors, plus a complimentary beer, soda or water on us. Additional eats and drinks available separately.

FEATURING: Best Of Smoke-Off competition, KCBS (Kansas City BBQ Society) rules. Four competing team categories: BRISKET, PULLED PORK, CHICKEN, and RIBS. All teams required to smoke on-site overnight for all 4 categories.

Children under 12 FREE. A face-painter will be there Saturday, Chicken Bingo, cornhole, and a special appearance by the Nazo Pork Squad is on for big family fun as well.

WILL BBQ VENDORS BE OFFERING SAMPLES?
Licensed food vendors, yes. With plenty of eats off their curated menus; Competing BBQ teams: no, they’re not permitted to sell food.
IS THE PUBLIC JUDGING THE BBQ COMPETITION?
The competing teams will be making food squarely for the judges, so no, the public at large will not be judging the BBQ competition, except with their wallets.
ARE THER ID REQUIREMENTS OR AN AGE LIMIT TO ENTER THE EVENT?
Children under 12 are free, ages 12–20 ticketed not permitted to drink alcohol, ages 21+ can drink with positive ID of course.
WHAT ARE MY PARKING OPTIONS?
There’s no designated lot, but there is plenty of on-street parking all along Sims Ave. and around the corner on Kinsley Ave. near the Steelyard. There will be handicapped parking near the front entrance as well, please contact us prior to set up a designated handicapped spot.
DO I HAVE TO BRING MY PRINTED TICKET?
No, as pre-festival online ticket sales end at noon Friday 6/9, we’ll have a list at the Check-In table, beyond that it’s cash & credit card swiping on-site.
ARE DOGS ALLOWED?
We love dogs, but unfortunately, no dogs allowed– we’re keeping the Dept. of Health happy with this one.
