derbyIt’s here folks, the beginning of Providence Roller Derby’s home season, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. On July 19th, the first bout of the 2014 home season, the Sakonnet River Roller Rats skate against the Mob Squad at Thayer Arena.

Look out for veteran Rats like Craisy Dukes and Mary Slayne while they battle veteran Mobsters Freak ‘N Awesome and All the Way Mae. Of course each team has its share of new skaters, like Trannie Oakley and Merida Misfit on the Rats, and a few familiar power houses returning to the Mob, Sweet Tease and Ruca A. Salt, back from the dreaded nine month injury and fighting fit. Both teams are looking ready and raring to go, be sure not to miss this home season opener as it’s going to be a bruiser!
