ABOUT THE TOURS
March 2017 Gallery Night
Guided bus tours leave approximately every 20 minutes starting at 5:30pm. Each tour visits 4–5 galleries and runs about 2 hours in length. The final Art Bus of the evening leaves at 7pm.
Experienced Gallery Night guides and celebrity guides lead the tours. Mix and mingle with artists, art collectors, curators, designers and academics as they share their thoughts and enthusiasm about Providence’s rich artistic community.
Watch glass blowers at work, discover folk art from around the world, talk with painters and photographers and meet new and interesting people. Each gallery offers a unique art experience with changing exhibitions featuring local, national and international artists. Start your own collection and support the local economy with a one-of-a-kind gift of art. Fine art purchases are tax-free in RI.

Gallery Night Providence is a free, fun-filled introduction to Providence’s exciting art scene! On the third Thursday of the month, from March through November, over 20 of the city’s hot “art spots” open their doors inviting you to a visual arts party. Free bus tours take you throughout the city to a selection of participating galleries, guided by local artists and art enthusiasts who share their insights into the art world. We are committed to an entertaining educational approach to the visual arts. Providence has a wealth of talented visual artists from all over the world. We spotlight these wonderful for-profit and non-profit organizations and the artists they exhibit.
