Sen. Edward J. O’Neill (I-Dist. 17, Lincoln, North Providence, North Smithfield) thanked Governor Lincoln Chafee and Capitol Police Chief Joseph T. Little Jr. for opening the Rhode Island State Housethis weekend to coincide with WaterFire Providence’s very special Christmas WaterFire.
“Folks who are shopping or dining in the city, or taking in the special WaterFire, will be able to stop into the Capitol and warm up a bit while enjoying the many Christmas and holiday decorations on display in this unparalleled setting. This special opening gives Rhode Islanders a chance to enjoy their beautiful State House in a very special way during a very special time of year,” said Senator O’Neill.
