On Friday, July 3 from 6-9pm, the Jamestown Arts Center (JAC) will host the fifth annual Summer Soirée and an exclusive preview of the exhibit Burning Down The House, curated by Yellow Peril Gallery presented in conjunction with The Providence Biennial for Contemporary Art. Burning Down The House brings together a group of international artists whom explore issues of house and home in their work. Robert P. Stack of Yellow Peril offers, “Home is more of an emotional construct, dealing with feelings of safety, nostalgia, belonging and aspiration. Many of the artists here analyze these feelings and reflect on the social structures associated with the ideal of home.” An evening of art, live music and delectable summer savories! $150 for non-members, $125 for members. Tickets available here.
