Head Trick Theatre presents:
THE REVENGER’S TRAGEDY
By Thomas Middleton
Directed by Rebecca Maxfield

“The Revenger’s Tragedy” is a blackly funny drama of violence and lust in a corrupt court, written by Shakespeare’s contemporary Thomas Middleton. Vindice seeks bloody revenge for the lives of his fiancée and his father — can he kill his enemies without becoming as corrupt as they are? Will any of that even matter if one of the half-dozen other jerks jockeying for power gets there first?

THREE weekends of performances! August 5-7, 12-14, and 19-21, all at 8pm. Blackstone Field, 2 River Rd., Providence, RI (across from the Narragansett Boat Club on the Seekonk River). Bring a blanket or chair, and enjoy a dark and hilarious play in the park! Suggested donation $15.

Head Trick Theatre puts on innovative productions of classic plays with a focus on the importance of liveness. Past productions include “As You Like It”, an outdoor production of Shakespeare’s beloved comedy featuring music and traditional dance, and “Tonight We Improvise”, a new translation of Pirandello’s metatheatrical mindscrew.
