Providence
Providence Performing Arts Center – PPAC is the most popular theatre in Rhode Island. This 3,100 seat theatre becomes home to several different touring Broadway shows throughout the year. The beauty of PPAC with its elegant and historic feel makes seeing a show at this theatre feel like you are actually on Broadway!
Trinity Repertory Company – Trinity Rep was founded in 1963 and since then has become one of the most well known resident acting companies in America. Trinity performs shows throughout the year to an estimated audience of over 120,000 people.
Festival Ballet Providence – Festival Ballet was founded in 1978 as the premier professional ballet company. Today, they have 25 professional performers from around the world in their company that puts on many shows throughout the year. Their mission: “To thrill and move our audience, dancers, choreographers, students, supporters and staff, with art and discipline. We dance to enrich and inspire lives”, has definitely been fulfilled.
Blackstone Valley
Stadium Theatre Performing Arts Centre – If you are looking for a family friendly theatre than Stadium Theatre in Woonsocket, RI is the place for you. This theatre building was restored in 2001 and since then and prided itself on enlisting internationally known artists to work alongside local performers and groups.
South County
Theatre by the Sea – Theatre by the Sea is a historic theatre located in Wakefield in the South County of Rhode Island. If you are looking for a quaint atmosphere with great performances, this is the theater for you!
The Granite Theatre – The Granite Theatre was created in 2000 out of a restored Greek Church. This beautiful historic scenery makes for a great show! Their season runs from March to December each year and offers a variety of terrific performances.
