Roger Williams Museum of Natural History and Planetarium

Located in the Museum of Natural History, the planetarium is a dome theatre which is only open during showtimes. Public planetarium shows are offered at 2pm every Saturday and Sunday. The Museum’s collections contains over one quarter million objects pertaining to natural and cultural history assembled from sites around the world.

Ocean State Theatre

One of the briny buccaneers of yore, bumbling pirate professor Billy Bones teaches youngsters how to be good pirates with zany lessons on how to stand, talk, sing and laugh like jaunty Buccaneers. Audiences engage in boisterous competitions and learn the finer points of light-hearted mischief while cannons boom, skulls talk, cutlasses drop, bubbles pop and pets run amok. Kids learn to live the dream of the roving swashbuckler in a joyful, non-violent fashion.

Connemara: Paintings From Yvonne King

The Main Gallery at Providence City Hall

The 20 paintings featured in Yvonne King’s exhibition “Connemara” spotlight the Connemara landscape in Western Ireland where King resides from. ‘My work is known for landscape, it’s colour and traditions. I aim to capture the essence of place, seeing the value of history and relating it to the present.

This timeless captivating story is brought to life in this glorious musical filled with personal discovery, heartache, hope, and everlasting love. Based on Louisa May Alcott’s life, Little Women, follows the adventures of sisters Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America.

The Village

Join in the rocking fun as Jodi Jolt and The Volt return to The Village! Come early for dinner, the food is amazing, and stay for the show! Music starts at 9pm!

Providence Winter and Spring Flea Markets are open on the second and fourth Sunday of each month. Local vintage and artisan/maker market with food trucks and live music.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day is March 17th, but Rhode Island has events occurring throughout March to celebrate Rhode Island’s Irish heritage.
