Providence Art Club Opening Reception

Join the Providence Art Club on Sunday, June 25 from 2-4pm for the Opening Receptions of three exciting new exhibitions. Artists will be on hand to discuss their work and light refreshments will be served. The galleries of the Providence Art Club are always free and open to the public. Please feel free to join this event and invite a friend!

The Steel Yard’s 5th Annual Fire Camp Festival

Join us for the 5th Annual Fire Camp Festival and the Steel Yard Open House this summer! We’re inviting spectators to spend the day the Steel Yard, engage in our foundry and experience the magic of the industrial arts first hand! Our gates will be open for this fun, free and family-friendly event. Guests will enjoy music, amazing food & beverages from local businesses, a Yardie art & crafts sale, as well as live demonstrations in welding, blacksmithing, ceramics and jewelry!

Fire Camp is a FREE, one-day festival for all ages that features demonstrations of many of the industrial arts practiced at the Steel Yard. Attendees can create their own decorative cast iron tiles, witness blacksmith demonstrations, get their hands dirty playing with clay, and much more!

Transport your imagination to the place that has inspired generations of artists and gardeners – France. At Rosecliff, modeled after the Grand Trianon of Versailles, you’ll travel on a very French adventure, from grand gardens to urban Paris chic. Each day of the Newport Flower Show offers guests opportunities to enjoy judged horticultural specimens and floral designs, special garden exhibitions, free lectures and demonstrations, children’s activities, and wonderful shopping experiences at the Oceanside Boutiques and Gardeners’ Marketplace. Tickets are also available for special luncheons, lectures and workshops, as well as full weekend packages.

PVD Energy Fair

The Sierra Club, the City of Providence, and People’s Power and Light are hosting the Providence Energy Fair from 10am-3pm on Saturday, June 24th at the Southside Cultural Center. This free, family-friendly event, featuring food trucks and live music, will consist of an outdoor vendor area with booths for nonprofit organizations as well as energy efficiency and solar vendors, a speaker series covering energy-related topics, and an electric vehicle display area.

Come learn how to save money and benefit the environment while enjoying family-friendly music and food trucks!

Food Truck Fridays at Carousel Village

Come experience the fun and entertainment of the Roger Williams Park Carousel Village and enjoy some of the best local food trucks around! Ride the Carousel, explore Habro’s Boundless Playground, listen to live entertainment and more. Invite your family and friends and leave the cooking to us. Please note: Food Trucks accept cash, credit, or debit. The Carousel will be open until 8pm and rides. Pony Rides, bounce house, and train rides will be open (weather permitting).

Please join Rhode Home Rescue for it’s first mini golf event on Saturday, June 24th. Registration starts at 9:15 am, golfing starts at 10am. Coffee and a light breakfast will be provided. Pre-register here! All proceeds from this event will go directly to Rhode Home Rescue, so we can continue our rescue efforts.

Zoobilee! Feast with the Beasts

Zoobilee!, presented by ALEX AND ANI, features fine fare from dozens of the area’s best restaurants, caterers and bars, as well as fabulous entertainment including live music and dancing, and other fun surprises! This is an adults-only evening event (21+).

Zoobilee! is the Zoo’s largest single-night fundraiser. Thanks to the support of ALEX AND ANI, local businesses and sponsors, a dedicated committee of community leaders and almost 1,400 guests, Roger Williams Park Zoo’s 2016 Zoobilee! Summer Yoga Kickoff
Providence Power Yoga and All That Matters Yoga are joining together to kick off a summer of outdoor yoga. We will be offering two classes one at 5:45 pm and one at 6:45 pm. Classes will be 45 minutes in length. Come for one or both! We will be joined by DJ Red Dawn, A Fork in the Road Food Truck and Revival Brewing. Free admission! RSVP on Facebook here.
Dog Days Of Summer: A Concert To Benefit Save A Lab Rescue

Dog Days Of Summer is charity fundraising concert in providence to benefit Save A Lab Rescue blending hip hop, rock, acoustic, and more. The event is being held on June 24,2017 from 4-8PM at Aurora Providence on 276 Westminster St, Providence, RI. Performances By: Mitchy B+Kenzie, Elastic Five, Bicycle Inn, Rebecca Silva, and Meaghan Casey

Tickets can be purchased here for $10. Every single penny we raise from tickets, merchandise, and so on will be going directly to Save A Lab!

Butterflies in the Park

Butterflies fluttering amidst sun-drenched meadows are a sure sign of summer. Hunt for butterflies in the sweeping lawns and hidden spaces in Roger Williams Park. Our Museum naturalist will help you discover how to find and identify these flying jewels.
