COCK-A-DOODLE-DO! Join zookeepers in the Alex and Ani Farmyard for a special morning on the farm before the Zoo opens to the public. Enjoy a continental breakfast of bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, juices and coffee outside the Farmhouse, and explore the Farmyard as zookeepers get the day started. This event is “free-range,” so guests can go at their own pace to explore the many activities, including the cow milking, egg collection stations, and the produce growing and play station. Watch a sheep shearing demonstration, visit with a beekeeper, watch a farrier trim a donkey’s hooves and even learn about worm composting with RI Worm Farmers Cooperative.
Date: Saturday, June 10 (rain or shine)
Time: 9:00 am
Cost: $25/members, $35/non-members
Please note: Capacity is limited to 40 participants. Pre-registration is required. Ticket price includes a continental breakfast, program, and admission to the Zoo post program.
