Pumpkin Carving – Saturday, October 15th, 2016
Roger Williams Park Zoo, 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM

Carve like the professionals – the Passion for Pumpkins professionals that is! Join John Reckner, founder of the Jack O Lantern Spectacular at the Roger Williams Park Zoo, and learn the techniques of intricate pumpkin carving.  All workshop attendants get a set of tools, a template and an un-glutted pumpkin.  John will teach the students how to transfer their template to a 3 dimensional Jack O Lantern that can be proudly displayed at home.  Registration deadline extended – so register now.

Roger Williams Park Museum of Natural History, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

From the Coal Age to the Ice Age, the museum’s collection of fossil specimens brings the past to life! Come join in the festivities and see fossilized plants and animals that once roamed the Earth.
